Summer Pilates

The benefits of Pilates are all well documented, whether it is to help improve back pain, recover from injury or just as a way to help keep healthy, strong and fit.

Pilates is a form of exercise which focuses on core strength and postural alignment balance of the bodies muscles.

Pilates can be adapted to suit any level of fitness and goals and can be particularly helpful in supporting your body to do other activities such as running, tennis or cycling. Typically, when we are more active during the Summer months, Pilates can be very beneficial in helping to prevent injuries, aches and pains. It has successfully been used as part of training regimes for special sporting events such as Marathon training.

There are specific groups of people who might also benefit from Pilates such as ante/postnatal women, people with low back pain and those with aches and pains from postural problems.

If you would like to give 1:1 Pilates a go then why not try it here with us!!! One to One enables Ruth to ensure you are engaging the core muscles correctly and effectively and is the perfect springboard to Pilates classes.
