Not sure if a business can have a birthday or we mark the occasion as an anniversary? Whichever it is our clinic doors have now been open for 5 years within the heart of the Morningside Community of Edinburgh. Yay!
It has been a journey full of challenges, surprises and a steep learning curve about how to run a successful business during the economic downturn and new government legislation. Lots of new skills have been leant by Directors John and Jill Kerr and they are grateful for all the support they have received from family, friends and colleagues. Especially their son's Jake and Josh!
Our 3 top tips if you are setting out in a new business venture:

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is the core trade of Director Jill Kerr and her dream to build her physiotherapy business alongside other professionals has been fulfilled and the occupancy of the clinic 4 treatment rooms is booming. It’s hard to believe that Jill co authored a Textbook during the last 5 years as well as lecturing to Physiotherapists and GPs worldwide whilst building and working within the clinic- could explain the extra stress lines. John Kerr is an Independent Financial Advisor who has been so valuable in setting up and running the financial side of the business.
Sports Massage continues to be a favourite in the clinic and Peter Mordaunt has continued to expand his business within the clinic and a new addition of hot stone massage is also now available from him and his team.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) Julie has rapidly become busy within the clinic and with the profile being raised of the importance of our mental health and how we should feel free to discuss these health issues in the same way we do a sore ankle has developed over the last 5 years.
The multitude of services our Complementary Therapist Nancy offers is unique in the way she will mix and match her skill set appropriately to meet your individual needs. Her degree in Psychology helps her to understand the best way she can help alleviate your symptoms.
Holistic Massage provides a way of relaxing and invigorating the mind and body- clients leave Rachel’s room looking very chilled and relaxed. Gift vouchers are available for most of our Therapists and are a way of sharing a boost to loved ones Health and Wellness.
Nutritional Therapy is a fast growing Profession which addresses the challenges allergy and intolerance put on a Healthy Diet to those who would like to improve the overall diet and bespoke diets for this with illnesses and need advice- Pauline is experienced and really cares about your wellbeing and finds a bespoke Nutritional path that will work for you. Pauline has written some great BLOGS for our website.
Finally we have Podiatrist Angela from Podiatry Plus (Comiston Road) on a Friday afternoon complimenting all the services about- taking care of your feet and offering a free consultation if you are unsure whether your feet need her attention.
