Jill qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1988, obtaining a BSc in Physiotherapy from Queen's College in Glasgow. She was awarded a commendation prize.

In 2006 Jill was awarded an MSc in Orthopaedic Medicine by Middlesex University and has been Module Leader and Professional Advisor for students enrolled in that very same Masters programme. Jill is also co-author of the textbook "A Practical Approach to Orthopaedic Medicine, 3rd Edition 2010 published by Atkins, Kerr and Goodlad. This is a textbook suitable for under and post graduate physiotherapists, doctors and many more. In September 2015 Jill, Emily and Elaine were delighted to announce that the next book has now been published 'A Practical Approach to Musculoskeletal Medicine', 4th Edition including updates on current literature as well as many new activities.

Jill has worked in many different settings from NHS and sports clubs to private hospitals, gaining experience in all aspects of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Working in Private Practice since 1997,  Jill launched Therap-Ease, a multi-therapy clinic, within Edinburgh in November 2013.

Jill lectured for Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine (SOMM) post graduate courses throughout the UK and overseas for 25 years. Jill was Joint Programme Leader for SOMM MSc Musculoskeletal Medicine validated at QMU, Edinburgh for 3 years. From 2023 Jill will be a guest lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University on their MSc Advancing practice Spinal Module.

In 2020 Jill has created a new aspect to the business delivering bespoke one to one Virtual Coaching sessions for other Physiotherapists and students Specialising in MSK. This will allow her to share her expertise and teaching experiences in the UK and overseas. and help develop their clinical and academic skills.

Ruth Bradley MSc, MCSP, HCPC, FSOMM

Ruth has many years of MSK experience and loves teaching and being a clinician. With clinical experience in Sport, NHS and Private Practice, she has gained experience in all aspects of Physiotherapy including Sports, and in particular rugby. She has completed her master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Medicine and is currently a teaching fellow with the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Ruth now specialises in Women’s Health Physiotherapy helping with ante/post-natal care and continence issues for all ages.  The Mummy MOT is a new service Ruth will be providing post natal for new mums- this is a recognise and certificated qualification nationwide.

Postgraduate training in Pilates has led Ruth into teaching Pilates as a Physiotherapist, and in her several years of experience she has discovered the benefits of Pilates for her clients, in particular strengthening and maintaining spinal strength and stability. 

Ruth enjoys the challenge of teaching and progressing clients through a programme of new exercises, and she can modify exercises to suit everyone as needed. 

Ruth has completed further postgraduate training in acupuncture, taping, and sports injuries to enhance her assessment and treatment options. She is a fantastic addition to the team.

 

Jacqui Archer MSc, MCSP, MMAP, HCPC, has over 30 years experience working as a Physiotherapist.  Originally from NZ she graduated in 1983 and moved to London, UK in 1989. She completed a Sports Diploma at the University of London in 1993 and her Masters in Physiotherapy at University College London in 1998 She has worked extensively in both the NHS and private sector.

She has a great passion for the profession and specializes in helping individuals with spinal pain, joint pain and sports injuries.  She works with patients both to regain full function and prevent recurrence of injuries.  Her approach is very hands on and tailored to fit the individual.  Jacqui has a passion for rehabilitation and ensuring the client can be the best version of themselves.

Jacqui works with the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) as a Specialist Physiotherapist working with the players when they are on tour and in competition- Wimbledon is a favourite venue to work as well as other European Cities. 

She is a keen cyclist, tennis player and hill walker

Pamela Holland MSc, MCSP, HCPC has over 20 years experience working as a Physiotherapist within the NHS. From 2002 she has focused her career on the care of infants, children and young people and has worked as part of the successful children's physiotherapy teams at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.​

During this time, Pamela gained extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment and treatment of children’s musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and spinal conditions. She understands the importance of applying this knowledge whilst taking into consideration each individual child’s growth, developmental stage and overall goals.​

Pamela graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and received a MSc PG Dip Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University in 2006.  She has also recently qualified to teach parents and carers baby massage.

Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Pamela provides a dedicated and enthusiastic specialist physiotherapy service to infants, children and young people.

Steven Cockburn  MSc, HCPC, is a Chartered Physiotherapist Specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Jill Kerr Physiotherapy.

For the past 12 years, Steven has also worked as a personal trainer and soft-tissue massage therapist, having spent six years in the city of London working with a range of clients, from office workers to pre/post-op clients.  Steven has a passion for rehabilitation by helping clients move and feel better and integrating exercise therapy as well as soft tissue techniques.

Steven loves helping clients get stronger and back to active daily living so they can remain happy and healthy.

Steven offers Physio Strength Coaching appointments also which can help you optimise your strength and fitness levels regardless if you are training for a specific event, holiday or would just like to improve your overall health and fitness.

Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Steven brings a wide range of experience to his Physiotherapy role with Jill Kerr Physio Ltd in Therap-Ease, Edinburgh

Hannah Cullen DPT, BSc (Hons), MCSP, HCPC 

Hannah enjoys helping to empower individuals through education and movement. Hannah's journey includes a decade of experience as a personal trainer specialising in ante-natal and postnatal training, as well as sports massage therapy. She has since completed her diploma in Pilates with further training in clinical reformer and tower Pilates. 

Graduating with first class honours in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation from Newcastle, Hannah has experience working with professional and amateur rugby teams. Hannah spent a year working in the NHS in Bristol before pursuing a Doctorate in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Driven by her Pilates teaching in a group and one to one basis, Hannah explored pelvic health physiotherapy, completing a placement in the NHS to understand more about pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. She has since completed further specialist training and courses, including prolapse management and the Mummy MOT Pelvic Floor Assessment Course in London. 

Hannah is passionate about supporting individuals throughout their pregnancy or postnatal journey, as well as those with pelvic floor dysfunction or pelvic pain. She is also a member of the POGP (Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy). 

Hannah worked in Therap-Ease as a receptionist and massage therapist at the start of her undergraduate journey so is delighted to return to the clinic.
